Sifu Scott Bray A.P., L.ac. "T'ai Chi is a tool through which one can be in contact with the natural laws that surround us. Slowly, one can come to understand that the human body is a receptor for the energy the heavens, earth, and environment have to offer. The channeling of this energy into self-defense and healing makes T'ai Chi the "Grand Ultimate Fist". This is the reason why T'ai Chi and internal arts set themselves apart from others." -Sifu Scott Bray

"T'ai
chi works on a variety of levels. At its most basic level, it is a
low-impact weight-bearing exercise that minimally stresses the joints.
With increased study and practice, it becomes a way to achieve the
relaxation response. That in turn provides respite from daily
stresses. At higher levels of study, one becomes aware of the intake
and expenditure of subtle, nourishing energies. The principles of
rootedness, discipline, balance, and contraposition of movement act as
metaphor for an ideal approach to life's constant challenges."

learning is continual... The growth is essential. Through T'ai Chi Chuan
and Sifu Scott Bray, I have learned to relax, and be better prepared to

"I
have trained continuously in martial arts since 1975. After training
in Karate-do, then Aikido, I found T'ai Chi in 1996. There is so
much depth to T'ai Chi that I would not have been able to see were it not
for the time spent in other arts. I feel it is a natural evolution in my
life."
